Serve locally, connect globally, and make a meaningful impact in your home country or country of legal residence. You will contribute your local expertise and cultural insights to national development while collaborating in the UN system. Use your skills to support emergencies, crisis settings, and broader international development initiatives with our UN partners. Learn about different cultures and languages, expand your networks, and gain professional and life experiences. Online Volunteering offers a flexible platform to tackle today’s sustainable development challenges from any device, anywhere in the world. The assignments are task-based, up to 20 hours per week, for a duration not exceeding 12 weeks. Online Volunteers gain first-hand practical experience in the development context with United Nations entities, governments and civil society organizations worldwide. Online Volunteers are not under a UNV contract, therefore they do not receive any financial compensation or benefits. However, upon assignment completion, they receive an electronic certificate of appreciation.
