JULIE WEBER UGARTE, CONSULTANT, PRESIDENT OF UGARTE CONSULTING, INC. Julie Weber Ugarte has spent 25 years in the strategy and marketing arenas, helping companies position themselves for market launch and strategic growth. Throughout her career, Julie has made contributions in the nutrition/health, beverage, technology, non-profit and health advocacy, environmental and sustainability, and pharmaceutical/biotech industries. Following years of agency experience and team leadership, Julie started Ugarte Consulting, Inc. to advise clients directly on business decision making, which ultimately lead her to obtain an MBA: • C-suite advising: corporate restructuring and market analysis, • cultivating and managing strategic partnerships, • regulatory and crisis communications, • website architecture and social media grassroots outreach, • strategic goal alignment among key stakeholders, staff training, and BOD establishment, and • corporate sustainability efforts. Notably, while at DMI, Inc., she helped lead transformational change and the establishment of Fuel Up to Play 60 with the National Football League. At agencies, she began her career launching pharmaceutical products direct to consumers and health professionals for companies such as DuPont Merck, SmithKline Beecham, and Abbott Laboratories. Later shifting to health advocacy work, Julie aided with strategy and digital- and content-marketing efforts for non-profit organizations. Following, she worked as a Group Manager on the “got milk?®️” campaign for Milk Processors and America’s Dairy Farmers. Julie holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she also studied at Recanati-Kellogg International in Tel Aviv in technology innovation and learned further from innovative tech companies through TechVenture India. She is the Thrive Committee Chair for Connections for the Homeless; has lived overseas; and is conversant in both Spanish and French.
