SRON, part of NWO-I, is the Dutch national expertise institute for scientific space research. Our mission is to drive breakthroughs in international space research. To achieve this, the institute develops pioneering technology and advanced space instruments, using them to conduct fundamental research in astrophysics, Earth science and exoplanetary studies. As the national expertise institute, SRON advises the Dutch government and coordinates national contributions to international space missions from a scientific perspective. Additionally, SRON promotes the application of space science in society.
