Europe is the largest region in the Schaeffler world. 55 plants are located in the six subregions at 38 sites. The region also includes locations in the Middle East and the company’s plant in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. More than 69,100 people work in this region to develop new technologies and produce Schaeffler’s broad product range. The headquarter of Region Europe is in Herzogenaurach in Germany. Since October 1, 2024, Dr. Jochen Schröder is Regional CEO Europe. The Debrecen location in Hungary has been recognized by the Faculty of Economics, University of Debrecen for its internship and dual higher education programs, awarding the Excellent Training Site prize to the company. Following the integration of Schaeffler and Vitesco Technologies, students at the University of Debrecen can now dive deep in the world of motion technology at two locations in Debrecen, thus enabling a total of 60 interns and 17 dual higher education students to experience various professional areas at Schaeffler.
