Controlled nuclear fusion opens up the prospect of a long-term, climate-friendly energy source. To turn scientific breakthroughs into industrial applications, coordinated research, technological progress, and strong partnerships are required. SAXFUSION brings these forces together in a collaboration-driven network and positions Saxony as an active hub in the emerging fusion ecosystem. The consortium is led by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and Fraunhofer IWS. Together with partners from academia, industry, and government we provide a platform that makes expertise visible, accelerates innovation, and unlocks new market potential.
