It all started in 1977, in the quaint Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Peter Hastings and his wife decided to start serving sandwiches to their curious, collecting customers at their antique shop. They gathered around the warm Potbelly stove for a great meal and conversation. As they say.... the rest is history! We believe in giving back to our local communities through volunteering, shop fundraising and non-profit partnerships in our neighborhoods. We also believe that a happy earth means happy people. With our green initiatives like shop recycling, energy efficient lighting and earth-friendly cleaning supplies, we strive to make decisions that are respectful of our planet's resources.
