Pharma Test is a household name in the field of pharmaceutical product testing. The company was founded in 1979 by Franz Fähler to fill the gap in the equipment ranges offered by other companies at that time. Since then, Pharma Test has risen to the challenge of responding continually to the requirements of the international pharmaceutical production community, and now offers a comprehensive range of both physical and tablet dissolution testing equipment. In 1997, Pharma Test obtained control of a company called Pharmag which formerly supplied metal and mechanical parts for the instruments produced in the parent company. Today Pharmag is the main production site of the Pharma Test Group. In 2016 J&M Analytik AG was added to the Pharma Test Group. J&M is a pioneer in the area of fiber optic diode array spectroscopy for lab and process.
