PICYS supports young people aged 16–25 who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness to access safe, stable housing and the psychosocial support needed to build independence and wellbeing. Using a Housing First approach, PICYS provides medium‑term independent accommodation in central Perth suburbs through the Household Network, alongside individualised psychosocial support delivered through our Pillar program. Our work recognises that housing stability and mental health are deeply connected, and that young people are best supported through flexible, strengths‑based, and trauma‑informed practice. We work alongside young people to navigate mental health and other challenges, strengthen life skills, and build pathways into education, employment, health care, and community connection. Our focus is on supporting young people at the right time, in ways that promote choice, autonomy, and long‑term stability. PICYS works in close partnership with government, funders, philanthropists, community organisations, and the broader service system. Collaboration is central to our approach, ensuring young people receive coordinated support and that services are responsive to emerging needs. We are committed to continuous learning and improvement. Our programs are regularly reviewed and evaluated to ensure they remain effective, evidence‑informed, and aligned with the needs of young people and the communities we serve. At PICYS, we believe safe housing, meaningful support, and strong partnerships create the foundation for young people to thrive.
