Clear Drop® is creating a new category of appliance: pre-recycling. Pre-recycling prepares waste for recycling at the point where it's created — a kitchen, a breakroom, a facility floor. Two materials slip through most waste systems. Soft plastic, the film and wrappers and flexible packaging that recovery lines treat as contamination, ends up landfilled. Organic waste fills bins, draws pests, and gives off methane as it breaks down. The Soft Plastic Compactor (SPC) takes any soft plastic and compacts it into a shape-holding block with a patented softening technology and no consumables. The block survives transport intact and separates cleanly at the facility. The Organics Collector (OC) keeps food waste sealed and odor-free for up to a week through aeration, ozonation, and low-energy drying, leaving it ready for an organics collection point. The OC prepares organics for further recycling. It does not make compost. Everything a Clear Drop® appliance processes has a recycling path. We work directly with recycling facilities to close that loop, so material is accounted for from the bin to the end product.
