About
Legal Aid Queensland provides legal information, advice and representation to financially disadvantaged Queenslanders. We are an independent statutory authority, funded by the state and federal governments, providing services in criminal, family and civil law matters. Our staff work from 14 offices across the state, helping more than 250,000 Queenslanders with their legal problems each year. We work closely with a network of private law firms - our preferred suppliers - who deliver services to our client's on our behalf. Our organisational values are social justice, respect, quality, cost effectiveness and accountability.
