With the Oosterweel Connection, we are working together to improve accessibility and enhance liveability in and around the Antwerp Ring. By closing the Ring and increasing the capacity crossing the Scheldt, we create space for the urban economy and the port, ensuring that the engine of our economy can keep running. By focusing on robust and smart infrastructure, we increase traffic safety on the Antwerp road network. By implementing liveability measures that better integrate the presence of the ring motorway into the urban fabric, we reduce noise pollution and improve air quality.
