About

Jenga AfriHub is a young women-led, grassroots hub in Teso North, Kenya, creating safe, inclusive spaces where adolescents and youth can access mentorship, develop skills, build confidence, and connect to opportunities that unlock their full potential. Born from a belief that young people thrive when supported, Jenga—Swahili for “to build”—focuses on building confidence, skills, and futures. Since 2022, we have worked with underserved adolescents, particularly girls, facing challenges such as school closures, limited digital access, and lack of inclusive sexual and reproductive health education. Our programs provide holistic support through mentorship, life skills training, leadership development, digital literacy, and safe access to SRHR information and services. Through school holiday programs, school-based mentorship, and youth dialogues, we equip young people with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to make informed decisions and drive positive change in their communities. Our flagship projects include Safe Clicks, a digital safety campaign protecting youth from online scams, misinformation, and exploitation, and Sauti Zetu, a youth-led SRHR initiative amplifying adolescent voices, especially girls, in shaping health decisions and promoting stigma-free reproductive health education. We also focus on digital inclusion, economic empowerment, and youth-led peacebuilding. By partnering with schools, communities, financial institutions, and local leaders, we co-create sustainable solutions grounded in lived experiences. Guided by our values of youth-centeredness, collaboration, inclusivity, and community engagement, Jenga AfriHub empowers young people to thrive, lead, and shape a future defined by dignity, opportunity, and impact.
