About

The International Centre for Translational Eye Research, ICTER, is a research and development Centre of Excellence operating within the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. ICTER develops cutting-edge high-tech solutions to support the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of eye diseases, and to accelerate the implementation of new therapies and healthcare innovations. Our work connects translational ophthalmology, vision science, biomedical imaging, biomedical optics, photonics, computational imaging, artificial intelligence, molecular biology and clinical collaboration. ICTER is internationally active in advanced retinal imaging technologies, including Optical Coherence Tomography, OCT, optoretinography and Spatio-Temporal Optical Coherence Tomography, STOC-T. By combining fundamental research, technology development and clinical expertise, ICTER creates next-generation diagnostic tools for earlier disease detection, precise monitoring and improved patient care. The Centre supports innovation across eye health, medical imaging and vision science, translating scientific discoveries into practical benefits for patients and healthcare systems.
