IDE-E is a non-for-profit organisation, based in Switzerland and France, aimed to support sustainable options for low carbon, socially inclusive and resilient urban development in low-income countries. We work hand in hand with national and local governments to facilitate energy and climate resilience planning; project design and implementation; financial deal-structuring; access to finance; and impact monitoring at city-levels. For the last 10 years, we have gained the trust and benefitted from the support of various donors and partners, such as SECO, SDC, GIZ, ADEME, World Bank, EU, and AFD, among others, to coordinate the implementation of projects in Africa, Latin America, and Vietnam. Our projects can be considered as show-cases for 3 strategic approaches: > Local Energy and Climate Resilience Management, providing support to city and national governments (current focus: Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria). > Sustainable and Integrated Solid Waste Management, and Elimination of Marine Plastics (current focus: Vietnam). > Sustainable and Resilient Islands, with a focus on sustainable access to energy, water, while strengthening food security (current focus: Colombia).
