The Industry Integrated Degree is a new bachelor-level IT program being developed by the Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) in partnership with Nepal Open University. The program aims to bridge the long-standing gap between university education and the practical skills required by Nepal's IT industry. The program is reportedly being developed under Nepal's National Qualification Framework (NQF) with direct input from industry experts and employers. Students are expected to work directly with IT companies while pursuing their degree instead of waiting until the final semester for an internship. The goal is for graduates to leave university with several years of practical experience already on their CV.
