Hi-Acts – the Helmholtz Innovation Platform for Accelerator-Based Technologies & Solutions – enables industry and research partners to unlock the potential of accelerator-based technologies for industrial and medical applications. Coordinated by DESY, Hi-Acts brings together five leading Helmholtz centers: • Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) • GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung (Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research) • Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) • Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon Together, we open doors to unique large-scale research facilities that industrial companies and research-driven hospitals can access – facilities that are typically out of reach for individual organizations. We also co-develop smaller, tailored accelerator technologies for use in laboratories, product development, industrial quality assurance, and medical applications. Hi-Acts connects experts, research centers, and industry partners to tackle challenges that no single company can solve alone.
