Since its incorporation in 1973, the 'Henkel Polymer Group' of companies has achieved steady internal growth as a privately owned enterprise. Following the introduction and representation of leading overseas chemical manufacturing concerns, company founder Mzee Henkel soon realized the demand for the provision of economical solutions necessary for the preservation and long term sustainability of valuable natural resources-more specifically water and timber. The Henkel Polymer Group of Companies commenced business with Henkel Chemicals East Africa in Kenya (1973), followed by Henkel Polymer Tanzania (1992) and Henkel Polymer in Uganda (1998).
