heckel medizintechnik GmbH is one of the leading proponents in the field of hyperthermia. Originally founded in 1994 under the name of "heckel-Therapeutische Infrarot-Systeme", heckel medizintechnik GmbH first established itself as a pioneer of whole-body hyperthermia. In 2005, heckel began a strategic partnership with the company Hydrosun Medizintechnik GmbH, known for their experience in the research and manufacture of water-filtered infrared radiators. Together, the two companies developed the infrared whole-body hyperthermia system heckel-HT3000 that has been marketed since the end of 2007. This successful cooperation has continued through the development of thermography-controlled water-filtered infrared superficial hyperthermia, under the supervision of radio-oncologist Dr. Markus Notter of Lindenhofspital Berne / Switzerland. The hydrosun®TWH1500 has been available since mid 2017. Both systems are manufactured by Hydrosun and marketed worldwide exclusively by heckel.
