GKT is a globally active Austrian system partner for thermal separation technology and environmental technologies. Energy prices, carbon pricing, and regulatory requirements are fundamentally reshaping industrial conditions. Today, competitiveness is created where energy and material flows are controllable and losses are systematically minimized. GKT builds industrial efficiency on a solid, systematic foundation – through optimized thermal processes, targeted waste heat recovery, and economically viable CO₂ valorization. Drawing on approximately 90 years of industrial expertise, we develop and implement key technologies for the process industries – from falling-film, thin-film, and short-path technology to distillation, drying, and waste heat recovery, as well as CO₂ valorization and IIoT-based process optimization. We take a holistic system approach. At our in-house technical center, we test and validate processes under real operating conditions and scale them from pilot units to turnkey EPC solutions. This ensures investment security, industrial scalability, and measurable economic impact. Our systems are deployed worldwide across a wide range of industries, including pulp, (bio)refinery, fiber, alternative fuels, (bio)plastics, food, feed, chemicals, and industrial wastewater treatment. As part of the Dr. Aichhorn Group, we combine technological specialization with stability and a long-term perspective.
