Richard started working with digital tech companies as a consultant for a venture capitalist. At the start of the century it was apparent the internet would change the way tech start-ups and SMEs go to market. Richard’s involvement in the digital space deepened when helping TNS Gallup deliver their web analytics services to over 500 media websites across Northern Europe. In 2010 Richard launched GetFoundDigital.co.uk providing a range of services for B2B businesses including the set-up and operation of the Hubspot inbound marketing platform. Richard worked as the agency’s principal managing specialist sub-contractors for projects such as website builds, PPC, blogging etc. Richard soon realised piecemeal projects had limited benefits for clients. An integrated approach combining a range of digital marketing techniques broadly under the themes of ‘Get Found’, ‘Convert’ and ‘Nurture’ sustained over a period of time yielded sales results. Richard began working as a Fractional CMO for a handful of B2B businesses, which means allocating time weekly to a client and taking full responsibility for their marketing activities with the objective of delivering sales enquiries for their sales team. Richard’s USP is his extensive pre-digital experience in the B2B sector as business/corporate development executive with the Swiss technical services multinational, SGS Group, and as a management consultant with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. He understands the perspectives of the buyer and seller in the B2B buying process, and the challenges B2B companies face in going to market.
