The Geographical Society of Ireland (GSI) is the professional organisation and representative body for geographers in Ireland, and a recognised stakeholder in national policy development. We are committed to advancing the status, study, and public understanding of geography in Ireland, while strengthening its impact and international profile. Through a diverse programme of activities, we promote awareness of geography’s value across society. We also engage with government and key organisations on strategic issues, including the position of geography within primary and secondary education. We invite engagement from anyone with an interest in geography, including educators, researchers, professionals, and members of the public. New members are always welcome.
