The fib – International Federation for Structural Concrete / Fédération internationale du béton – is a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing the technical, economic, aesthetic and environmental performances of concrete structures worldwide. The fib, which depends on the voluntary contributions of international experts to achieve its mission, has 41 member countries. The fib publishes model codes, bulletins and Structural Concrete, its peer-reviewed journal. The association was founded in 1998 via the merger of the CEB (Comité euro-international du béton; founded in 1953) and the FIP (Fédération internationale de la précontrainte; founded in 1952).
