Filem’On, the international film festival for young audiences, is celebrating its 20th edition this year from October 25 until November 7, 2026. During the festival, we present unique films to schools, families and associations in cinemas and cultural venues across Brussels and beyond. More than 100 films, in all formats and genres, for children and young people aged 2 to 16, will be part of the programme. Many films compete for Belgian, international and European awards, often in the presence of directors, actors and filmmakers. The theme of this anniversary edition is “Filem’On Flashes” ⚡ With spotlights, flashes and a touch of confetti, we celebrate 20 years of cinema for young audiences. Looking back and forward at the same time, this edition highlights the stories, memories and people that have shaped Filem’On, all while making space for new voices, new dreams and the next generation of filmmakers and audiences.
