Discover how EURES connects #jobseekers and #employers across European borders, fostering collaboration and helping face labour shortage challenges. In this video, Mikkel Stephanson, an HR Business Partner at Semco Maritime in Denmark, shares his experience working with EURES. From providing expert advice to facilitating cross-border recruitment, EURES makes it easier for businesses to build strong teams while promoting fair and equitable #LabourMobility. The EURES portal provides information tools which aim to give help and support when considering moving to or recruiting from another country. The 'Living and working conditions' database contains details on finding accommodation, finding a school, taxes, cost of living, health, social legislation, comparability of qualifications, etc. The EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme (TMS) offers dedicated support from national employment services for people seeking work, training or apprenticeships in another EU country, Norway or Iceland. It tackles the needs of jobseekers to remove mobility obstacles. It helps employers in these countries who are looking for motivated and qualified workers. Available support includes funding to cover things like language courses, getting your qualifications recognised, travel and subsistence expenses.
