Eon was born out of a physician’s righteous anger, dedication to patients and unwillingness to accept the broken healthcare system. In 2014, Dr. Aki Alzubaidi diagnosed a young ultramarathoner with stage IV lung cancer. This patient–Ben–had received a chest CT several years earlier which documented a nodule, but at that time there was no system in place to notify patients and their doctors, or to track and coordinate care.
