DoraDAO is a non-profit community on a mission to make emerging tech accessible, inclusive, and human, not just for hardcore tech experts, but for everyone. Origin story of DoraDAO DoraDAO was born from a simple but uncomfortable realization. We kept seeing opportunities moving fast across the world global hackathons, grants, fellowships, early-stage experiments but the bridge to access them wasn’t built for everyone. Especially not for builders, creators, and communities in India and across emerging markets. So DoraDAO started as that missing bridge. A place designed to connect India with global opportunities and just as importantly, to help global ecosystems understand and work with India in a real, grounded way. Not as an afterthought. Not as a checkbox market. But as a living, contributing force. Over time, that bridge grew wider. And everything we build today still comes back to that first belief: Opportunity should travel both way… Story behind the NAME.. The idea behind the name DoraDAO is actually pretty simple, and a little nostalgic. It comes from Dora the Explorer, that one character who never hesitated to ask questions. No matter how obvious, basic, or “silly” they might seem, Dora questioned everything without fear, without embarrassment, and without worrying about judgment. That curiosity stuck with us. That’s how DoraDAO came to life.
