It is an affirmation of an accomplishment and a reminder to give thanks for everyday moments. Our vision and purpose at Desbaked is to help you to celebrate milestones and create impact through culinary experiences. Desbaked is an award-winning culinary business established in 2016 by Desiree Ngema, that creates edible art pieces for clients who appreciate signature and everyday quality baked goods. Desiree has always been a lover of food, always enjoyed hosting friends and had a desire and passion to learn more about baking even though she came from a corporate background. She worked with different brands in the corporate space, but something was eating at her with this whole baking and cooking thing, and she decided to try the food thing out. She enrolled at Prue Leith Chefs Academy to study as a pastry chef. She wanted to study with the best and gain credibility. The end goal was to start a bakery business and so she left the corporate world for food. The company has since grown to launch two sub-brands: Desbaked Cafe and Desbaked Academy. Desbaked Cafe is a sub-brand of the company that is a retail store that sells ready to go delicious & decadent cakes. Desbaked Cafe offers freshly baked cakes, pastries, cookies, and cupcakes with exquisite flavors that will leave your mouth watering. Desbaked Academy helps clients who want to learn the art of creating bespoke cakes and gain culinary knowledge. Desbaked Academy hosts masterclasses online or in-person to teach people about baking.
