CAREL is a non-profit corporation based in the Dominican Republic. We are committed to developing and implementing projects associated with the "global village" concept. We are located in a rural village, El Limon de Ocoa, where we are creating an educational and research center. We have extensive experience in community-based micro-hydro and wireless internet technologies, and are exploring a variety of other technologies appropriate to a village lifestyle. We are also developing projects in the north of Haiti.
