The BEST-CROP project involves 18 Partners from 7 EU countries and the United Kingdom in an interdisciplinary effort expected to provide: • Next Generation barley plants with increased overall productivity; • A biotechnology strategy to increase barley O3 uptake; • Barley straw to be processed into proteins and biolubricants; • Added-value residual biomass for the building and construction sectors.
