BWell Community is a student-led mental health and wellness club under the Department of Nursing Sciences at the University of Nairobi. Founded with the vision of fostering healthy minds and building a culture of support, resilience, and self-awareness among student nurses, the club provides a safe and vibrant platform for holistic well-being. BWell was born out of the need to address rising mental health concerns within the nursing student body. With academics, clinical work, and personal struggles often overwhelming students, BWell creates a supportive space where no one feels alone. Our Mission To promote emotional, mental, and social wellness among nursing students through education, peer support, creative expression, and access to resources. What We Do Host wellness talks, support groups, and open conversations on mental health Organize outreach activities like mental health awareness days, art for healing, and wellness walks Collaborate with professionals, counselors, and faculty for educational sessions Refer students to university counseling services and offer peer mentorship Create a community where vulnerability is strength and healing is collective Our Values Compassion – We treat each other with empathy and care Community – We believe healing happens in connected spaces Empowerment – We help students take charge of their mental health Integrity – We uphold confidentiality, trust, and mutual respect Growth – We are committed to learning and evolving together Leadership The club is run by an executive committee comprising a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Organizing Secretary, and Publicity Officer, with guidance from a Faculty Patron.
