As a follow-up to challenging evaluations of the First World War centenaire, Aufa100 promotes comprehensive peace research into the world-war era. A historiography that excludes important facts and events has remained in place. As a transnational team, we seek a revision of such a historical narrative that comes along with postcolonial intricacies unthought of. We would like to encourage the development of new ideas and approaches to the respective cultures of remembrance.
