Here, kaimahi @PaulPua shares his story of starting at Council in our Cadet programme and is now supporting Elected Members in an Advisor role. #WorkingForAuckland Ari's mother, Janine, had served Auckland Council for 25 years, and in 2015, Ari began her career journey with the council, as a catering assistant. “I started as a dishwasher,” she says, reminiscing on the tiled flooring and soap suds of a time gone by. Upon completing school in 2017, Ari stepped into the world of full-time employment as an administrator, before settling into Waste Solutions in the role of a customer response coordinator. Today, Ari is the Executive Assistant to the Director Māori Outcomes, a role she has made entirely her own through determination and passion for te ao Māori. #workingforauckland
