Sourcing Albemarle Capital partners with private equity funds and general partnerships which differentiate themselves regarding their investment process, management pedigree, team strength, and demonstrated performance. Through our deep relationships and broad sourcing capabilities, we find quality, new and creative managers and direct investments, which we bring to the attention of our institutional clients. Due Diligence Albemarle conducts due diligence calls and interviews with C-level employees of private equity firms and funds, including 1) executive management and other key professionals, 2) service providers, such as legal counsel, auditor, and 3) references. We review all marketing material, audits, legal documents and other critical information. Albemarle Capital conducts an operational review, ensuring that the fund or general partnership employs best practices, which our institutional investors require. Capital Placement We listen carefully to our relationships' wants and needs; listening is a skill critical to our clients, and it is essential to our success. We strive to understand the needs of our investors and endeavor to add value and efficiency to their investment process. We only contact our investors with a particular opportunity when we know the opportunity aligns-with that investor’s target profile and parameters. We evaluate many managers and direct investment opportunities, but we engage only a select few which meet our strident criteria. We will market only those managers and investments which meet the requirements of our due diligence process and are marketable to today’s sophisticated institutional investors.
