About

The AI and Multimedia Authenticity Standards collaboration (AMAS) is a global initiative committed to fighting misinformation and protecting the integrity of information. We have delivered technical and policy papers charting the standards landscape and providing advice on the interaction between regulation and standardization: bit.ly/4mJG3Lm Our aim is to build trust in the rapidly evolving field of AI-generated and altered media by encouraging the development of robust standards and supporting policies that promote transparency, accuracy and accountability. Under the leadership of the World Standards Cooperation, the collaboration serves as a vital forum for dialogue among standards developers, civil society organizations, technology companies and other key players. Together, we work to identify gaps in standardization, develop solutions to ensure information integrity and support regulatory frameworks that uphold privacy, authorship and rights. Participating organizations include the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), DataTrails, Deep Media, and Witness.
